On December 14, Zhang Wei, President of Sinochem Group and Chairman of Sinochem International Cooperation, attended the Jiangsu Provincial Major Projects Kickoff Meeting & Signing Ceremonies for a series of projects, including the "Carbon-3 Industry Chain", "Polymer Additives" and "Lightweight Materials" and met Lou Qinjian, Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee, Wu Zhenglong, Deputy Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee and Governor of Jiangsu People's Government, Xiang Xuelong, Secretary of Lianyungang Municipal CPC Committee and other local CPC and government officials. Liu Hongsheng, General Manager, and Cheng Xiaoxi, Vice General Manager of Sinochem International Cooperation, escorted them throughout the event. Su Fu, CEO of Sennics, signed agreements with Xuwei New District on behalf of each project, with the witness of other relevant personnel of both parties.

Before attending the kickoff meeting and the signing ceremonies, the delegation led by Zhang Wei, Liu Hongsheng and Cheng Xiaoxi visited the office of Sennics Lianyungang to offer their sincere gratitude to all the staff. In the meeting room, Su Fu, Secretary of Lianyungang CPC Committee, briefed the leaders on Sennics' strategy of polymer additives as well as its planning and progress of related projects in Lianyungang. Zhang Wei encouraged the staff to "take actions based on related knowledge" and boost high-quality development of the company through innovation and pragmatism.

On the morning, in his speech delivered at the Jiangsu Provincial Major Projects Kickoff Meeting in the Lianyungang Petroleum and Chemical Park, Zhang Wei stressed, Sinochem is a key state-run central enterprise with great influences in energy, petroleum and chemicals, agriculture, real estate and finance. The Sinochem Fine Chemical Circular Economy Industrial Park in Lianyungang is not only an action to pursue the core value of "In Science We Trust" of Sinochem Group, but also a major strategic move to build the industrial park into a leading fine chemical industrial park in China and even in the world. On behalf of the Sinochem Group, Zhang Wei expressed his gratitude to CPC committees and governments of various levels in Jiangsu Province for their long-time support. He said the Sinochem Group will remain committed to supporting the development of the SBU of Chemicals in Lianyungang, making its due contribution to the transformation and upgrading of the petroleum and chemical industry in China as well as the development of the local economy and community.

During his speech, on behalf of the Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee and Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, Wu Zhenglong, Deputy Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee and Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, welcomed all leaders and guests attending the event. He said since Jiangsu Province is currently on a new starting point for development, Xuwei New District, one of the seven state-level petrochemical parks, is an important area for Lianyungang to extend the function of the port and develop new strategic growth drivers. He required that the local CPC committees and governments should innovate their growth mechanisms, work hard and focus on each project and the whole industry, to allow each project to proceed in an orderly manner.

After the projects kickoff meeting and signing ceremonies, both parties also deeply engaged on a wide range of topics including project details, Sinochem's development in Jiangsu Province and future collaboration on a deeper level.
