On January 8, the 2018National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in Beijing Great Hall, to recognize the scientific and technological personnel and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to China's scientific and technological progress, economic and social development, and national defense modernization. The "key technology and industrial application of green catalytic synthesis for substituted aromatic amine series of products" project, co-completed by Sennics, won the second prize of National Award for Technological Invention in 2018.

It is understood that the project team resolved three major technical difficulties: the innovation of antioxidant catalyst and its application, the innovation of process technology and the innovation of engineering equipment. Chen Xinmin, Chief Scientist of Sennics, led the R&D center and the "new technology and industrialization technology of precious metal catalytic hydrogenation to synthesize antioxidant 6PPD", which was independently developed by Sennics Anhui's related R&D personnel, and was successfully applied to the synthesis of antioxidant 6PPD, achieving low energy consumption, high quality, high yield and eliminating the "three major types of wastes" during the production process. At the same time, it also reduces the requirements for equipment and operation, and makes an important contribution to promoting the efficient, green, safe and sustainable development of fine chemical industry in China. The project has also won many awards such as the first prize of scientific and technological progress of Sinochem Group in 2015.

In 2018, 285 national scientific and technological awards were given.
